About us – Jing Zhang in Winterthur Töss

TCM Praxis Töss is at Zürcherstrasse 139 in Winterthur Töss, opposite Migros Zentrum Töss, and is operated by TCM Töss GmbH. Every appointment is with Jing Zhang, a TCM therapist recognised by EMR and ASCA under ZSR number A100263.

The practice offers appointments on Wednesdays and Fridays. This gives patients a consistent contact person from the first consultation through later visits.

Mrs Zhang studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She has more than 30 years of clinical experience in China, England, and Switzerland and has practised in Switzerland since 2017.

Her main areas of practice are acupuncture and herbal therapy. Other methods available at the practice include Tuina massage, cupping, moxibustion, and Chinese diagnosis with pulse and tongue observation. The individual methods are described on the Services pages.

The first appointment begins with a conversation about your concerns, daily life, health history, current medicines, and any medical care already under way. Mrs Zhang then carries out a Chinese diagnosis with pulse and tongue observation and discusses an individual approach with you.

TCM can complement conventional medical care. Please seek medical assessment for severe, sudden, or unexplained symptoms, and tell Mrs Zhang about current diagnoses, medicines, and treatments.

Whether a treatment or prescribed herbal medicine is reimbursed depends on your supplementary insurance policy for complementary medicine. Mrs Zhang is recognised by EMR and ASCA, but each insurer decides which services are eligible and which annual limits or co-payments apply. Basic insurance generally does not cover care provided by a TCM therapist. More information is available under Health insurance.

A Chinese diagnosis of 20–30 minutes costs CHF 60.00, and a 40–50-minute acupuncture treatment costs CHF 132.00. A 60-minute session using one selected method—acupuncture, Tuina massage, or cupping—costs CHF 156.00. Other services are listed separately in the fee table.
