Acupuncture in Winterthur Töss

An acupuncture appointment begins with a conversation about your current concerns, health history, medication, and any previous medical assessment. Mrs Zhang then uses Chinese diagnosis, including pulse and tongue observations, to select points for that visit.

Mrs Zhang uses sterile, single-use needles while you rest on a treatment table. Insertion may feel like a brief prick, followed by pressure, heaviness, warmth, or tingling around a point. Tell her if any sensation feels uncomfortable so that a needle can be adjusted or removed.

Depending on the assessment, the session may also include cupping or moxibustion.

People visit the practice with concerns including back pain, migraine, menstrual symptoms, digestive complaints, or disrupted sleep. The condition pages explain what is discussed at the first appointment and which symptoms should receive medical attention first.

Acupuncture is provided as complementary care. New, severe, or unexplained symptoms require appropriate medical assessment.

The number and spacing of visits are agreed individually. At each appointment, Mrs Zhang reviews any changes since the previous visit and discusses whether the approach should continue or be adjusted. Existing medical treatment and prescribed medication should continue unless the responsible clinician advises otherwise.
